Greetings in the LORD JESUS CHRIST,
to our brothers and sisters in HIM and friends. As some of you know, thus far this year seems to have been a year that we needed (and still need to) learn a lot of lessons about prayer. With the end of 2015 being just days away, we would like to take this opportunity to express thanks to the LORD for the countless faithful prayers of our “fellow siblings in CHRIST” (as a dear brother in the LORD recently stated). We give the LORD much thanks for those who prayed, “...for the LORD JESUS CHRIST’S sake, and for the love of the Spirit...” and who graciously strove together with us in your prayers to God...all for HIS glory.
We continue to give thanks to the LORD for the A’s faithfulness in meeting to study the Bible. The A’s are also known as Mr. and Mrs. Anderson. We thank the LORD for the prayers of the saints on behalf of the Anderson’s throughout this year.
The Senior Retirement Community Bible study continues to be attended by residents for which we give thanks to the LORD. Thanks is also given to the LORD for the prayers of the saints on behalf of this effort.
Thanks to the LORD for the prayers of the saints concerning Raul. Some Sunday’s ago a return visit was made to Raul’s house. However, no one was home at that time. We are very thankful to the LORD for brother Daniel’s willingness to avail himself during times like this as he is able.
The LORD continues to allow our brother Alex to be a faithful and willing co-laborer in HIS harvest, for which we give HIM thanks. In addition to being a blessing while out on the doors and at different Bible studies, brother Alex along with some of the other brothers at the Spanish speaking gathering in Fort Smith have been a great help in the translating of English to Spanish for some of the other Spanish speaking saints when the LORD allows Oliver to share from HIS WORD when we gather in HIS name. We give the LORD thanks for this grace.
Thanks to the LORD is also given for those who prayed for J and specifically for her youngest child, Catalina. The LORD allowed Catalina’s medical caregivers to come to the conclusion that all of her ailments concerning her knee, heart and kidneys were stemming from a vitamin deficiency. Thanks to the LORD Catalina is doing better now that this deficiency is being satisfied and there was no mention by J of any surgeries being needed at this time.
This trial with Catalina afforded an opportunity to share the Gospel with J’s school age daughter during the last follow up visit. We give the LORD thanks for this open door.
Also during that visit, J mentioned (with a desire to try to help others) that she has been sharing (more specifically with one of her co-workers) of how she was at a point of considering ending her life and how GOD showed her that HE cared for her. This co-worker had a need which J was aware of. The LORD allowed J to respond to this co-workers need in a practical way. The co-worker asked J why she was helping her and J gave her a similar reply to what is mentioned above. We thank the LORD that J is recognizing the goodness of the LORD in her life and for her willingness to acknowledge this truth to others. LORDwilling, we would appreciate the continued prayers of the saints on behalf of J and her household. Thanks.
Kelly was met while out on the doors back in October. During this visit, Kelly professed that she had been recently born again and baptized. Kelly was given a “Grasping for Shadows” booklet which is written by our brother William MacDonald. Recently, a follow up visit was made and Kelly mentioned that she was doing better and that there had been some changes in her life...she had been reading the Bible more and had stopped drinking. We thank the LORD for the work which seems to be occurring in Kelly’s life, for HIS glory. The prayers of the saints on Kelly’s behalf to continue to “...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST” would be appreciated, in the will of the LORD. Thanks.
In October’s newsletter a Spanish speaking family, who has an adult son named Tony was mentioned. Recently, a follow up visit was made primarily to check on Tony’s younger sibling named Stanley, who professes to be born again. Stanley began being on dialysis when he was 15 years old and has been on it now for about 4 years.
During this last follow up, Stanley’s mom again expressed her burden for her husband to be born again. Stanley’s mom is saddened that even though her husband has witnessed many times how the LORD has worked in Stanley’s life regarding his illness that he continues to have no interest in spiritual matters. LORDwilling, the prayers of the saints for Stanley’s dad to be born again would be appreciated. Thanks.
Thanks to the LORD for the prayers of the saints concerning the possibility of starting a Bible study with Brian. The LORD allowed a follow up visit with Brian and presently he has no interest in spiritual matters. The prayers of the saints for Brian to be born again would be appreciated, in the will of the LORD. Thanks.
While out on the doors a man named Alex was met. Alex professed that he was recently born again and asked prayer for his growth as a CHRISTian. The booklet “Think of your Future” again written by brother William MacDonald was shared with Alex. LORDwilling, the prayers of the saints on Alex’s behalf to continue to “...grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our LORD and SAVIOUR JESUS CHRIST” would be appreciated. Thanks.
The last two individuals that will be mentioned in this newsletter are Natalie and Ashley. These school age young ladies are sisters and were also met while out on the doors. During the conversation with Natalie and Ashley, Ashley professed that they were CHRISTians but Natalie corrected her and said that they were Catholic. The Gospel was shared with these young ladies and they were encouraged to read the WORD of GOD. The prayers of the saints would be appreciated for Natalie and Ashley and their household to be born again, in the will of the LORD. Thanks.
As we begin to bring this newsletter to a close we would like to bring attention to this month’s Scripture texts. In this season where many have celebrated the coming and appearing of the LORD JESUS CHRIST as a baby we would like to reflect on another appearing of the LORD and that is when “...*every eye shall see HIM...”* Of this appearing of the LORD JESUS CHRIST we read “...Fear GOD, and give glory to HIM; for the hour of HIS judgment is come: and worship HIM that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.”
As many of you are already fully aware, HE is coming...yes, HE will return! What about you, dear reader (man, woman, boy or girl)...are you already in the blessed state of being “...in CHRIST JESUS...” by accepting that HIS finished work of shedding HIS precious blood and dying on the cross for the sins of the whole world was an acceptable and sufficient sacrifice for the payment/penalty due for your sins? If so, then we rejoice in the LORD with you for so great a salvation.
If however, dear reader you are not born again, if you are not “...in CHRIST...”, if you are not “...a new creature...”, if you have not believed on the LORD JESUS CHRIST for salvation from the due penalty of your sins we beg you to be reconciled to GOD and flee the wrath to come for as it is mentioned above referring to the time when “...every eye shall see HIM...” it is said that “...the hour of HIS judgment is come...” Oh, dear one, may you heed (pay attention to, take notice of) the warnings which the LORD is graciously allowing to come in your life and believe on HIS BELOVED SON, the LORD JESUS CHRIST and be saved and found in the secure and safe position of being “...in CHRIST JESUS...”
In closing, as has been referred to at different times and in different ways, we are thankful to the LORD for the privilege to serve HIM as well as for the privilege to serve HIM in the manner wherewith we are presently occupied with. Once again, we thank the LORD for the faithful prayers of the saints and for the encouragement and acts of kindness which HE has so graciously allowed to come our way, for HIS glory. We thank the LORD for each of you and wish you well.
With love, in the LORD JESUS CHRIST, WHO is “...The SUN of RIGHTEOUSNESS...”,
