ACM was started to help commended workers find healthcare. After many discussions and reviews, ACM has decided to go with Samaritan Ministries International as its primary health care recommendation for commended workers. We are working to add two other key resources to this already great program: volunteer doctor services and financial support.
Low Cost. Extremely affordable for singles or large families.
Works Worldwide: works for stateside workers and overseas workers no matter where they are or for how long.
Age Independent: price does not rise when members age.
65+ members can participate even after passing age 65.
No High Deductible. Samaritan's members begin paying your bills (for needs approved by guidelines) at $300.
Maternity. Maternity costs are shared in by members!
Gifts Go Further: since the cost is so reasonable, gifts to cover workers healthcare help much more.
Larger Group: with over 30,000 households, the Samaritan Ministries group is much larger and more stable than any group ACM could put together.
Save To Share Plan addresses needs that rise above $250,000 (this is an optional program).
Medi Share is one of the most well known Christian sharing plans. It operates the most like an insurance program out of the three. They offer members more than the other sharing programs (i.e. PPO, Unlimited Sharing) but at a higher cost. One of the main differences is that Medi Share pays doctors directly rather than cutting a check to a member when repaying medical expenses.
CHMinistries has some of the lowest cost options (if a high deductible is okay for you). They operate similar to Samaritan Ministries but without requiring members to send checks to each other. Christian Healthcare Ministries is the oldest of the three plans and used to be called the Christian Brotherhood Newsletter. We highly recommended you consider them.
